Arvada is part of Jefferson County.
Arvada is a great area - close to Denver and the I-70 corridor to the mountains.
Arvada has an old downtown area called "Olde Town Arvada" with shops and restaurants lining the street.
Enjoy some hand crafted beer at a local brewery, peruse art in one of the galleries, and shop in the little boutiques.
This downtown is a historic gem.
Arvada is close to Golden and Golden has an awesome little downtown area as well as the Colorado School of Mines university. People like to live in Arvada/Golden because it is closer to the mountains and easy access to Denver. Driving to the mountains on a weekend for skiing can take 4 hours in heavy traffic (as opposed to just over an 1 hr in no traffic. So many people opt to live out west in Arvada or Golden and commute to Denver for work. Also, a lot of people love to hike and bike up the foothills trails. Golden has had a ton of new builds over the years. This area near the I-70 corridor to get to the mountains will always be in high demand.
There was a plan to build a Jefferson Parkway. This has been discussed for years and stalled several times. In 2020, Broomfield walked away and so this is something to explore the future of this highway or any alternatives. https://www.jppha.org/

- Arvada was known in the 1900's as the "Celery Capital of the World"
- King Soopers grocery stores was first founded by Lloyd King in Arvada, CO. The name was derived from his family's last name and the Archie comic series, when a charactor would exclaim "Sooper!"
