Lafayette is located on the eastern portion of Boulder County.

Lafayette has it's own downtown, "Old Town Lafayette" on South Public Road.. The downtown has been working on a revitalization program to enhance the area.

Waneka Lake is a popular recreation area. There are paddle boats for rent, grills, playgrounds, trails, and courts.

Another favorite place in the summer is the Great Outdoors Waterpark. They have slides and a lazy river!

Lafayette used to be considered a cheaper place to live for those who work in Boulder. As Louisville started to fill up, spread moved into Lafayette and newer homes are currently being built over the $1.6m price tag.
